4-Day Imperial Cities Tour from Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat
We will leave Marrakech early in the morning and stop in Casablanca to visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, either outside or inside. Then, we will continue to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and see the Royal Palace from outside. We will stay overnight in Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
We will drive from Rabat to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. There, we will visit the grand Bab Mansour Gate, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the lively medina. After that, we will continue to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Fes and stay overnight.
Day 3: Full Day in Fes
You will explore the fascinating Medina of Fes, one of the world’s largest car-free urban areas. Visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, the Tanneries, Medersa Bou Inania, and the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter. There is also an option to enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch in the medina. Day 4: Fes – Middle Atlas – Marrakech
